Serving babies and their families, including premature babies, babies and babies with medical conditions. Providing support for those babies that are having difficulties with oral feeding such as, discomfort with feed, poor intake, extended time for feeds.
Feeding Therapy
Medically Complex
Experience with children with medical conditions such as, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, cardiac conditions, and genetic disorders. Experience and training with children with airway anomalies including tracheostomies and those that require tube feeding.
Picky or Limited Progression with Eating
Skilled with working with children who have difficulty progressing in food textures or have a limited diet. Supporting those children who have reduced oral skills for biting, chewing, or progressing to a cup or straw.
Safety during feeding is of the utmost importance, if treating therapist has concerns or to collaborate with members of your child’s medical team, signed permission to communicate from a parent is required.
Occupational therapy services are also available if your child has concerns with positioning, sensory integration, or fine motor skills.
